I received my formal training in the Escuela Nacional de Arts Plasticas de Guatemala and El Salvador. I moved to Seattle with my family in 1978, and in my new environment, I developed an artistic style known as “Urban Naïve.” The Puget Sound area has inspired me to capture the vitality of the city with brilliant colors

My work appears in private and public collections. I have shown my work throughout Washington State and have been included in several national and international traveling exhibitions.

For the past eleven years I have worked with the Washington State Art Commission as an Artist in Residence.  I have been involved in many residencies with school, community, and prison groups.
